Our Refab Engineering 80 series rear cross member replacement is designed for the serious off roader.
Full cross member replacement.
Designed for chopped 80 & 105 Series Utes and 40/80 Converted Utes.
This product can be used on a wagon however winch mount will not clear factory body and a custom rear protection bar would need to be designed, this option is suitable for those wanting a high-mount tow bar for a wagon with maximum ground clearance. Winch mount bracket is supplied separately so you can decide not to fit it to your vehicle if you are just seeking the high tow-bar for more ground clearance.
6 mm winch plate with standard bolt pattern.
16 mm recovery points left and right machined finish soft shackle compatible.
Integrated hitch receiver.
we also sell VDJ 130l Fuel tank brackets suited for the rear bar.
This bar comes as a laser cut and folded flat pack kit. It is set-up to be a DIY project.
All bars will be supplied with a compliance plate. Note, the compliance plate must match the tow capacity of your vehicle.
The BTC options are as follows:
80 Series < 1996 = 2,500 kg
80 Series >=1996 = 3,500 kg
105 Series = 3,500 kg

The bar is compliant with ADR 62/02 when fitted as per the blog/guide instructions and a qualified welder, welding to AS 1554.1 GP conducts the work. Please note, you may have to contact your local automotive engineer to seek approval depending on your jurisdiction.
