Information collected about you is obtained directly from you and it depends on the type of interaction you have with us.

Disclosure of personal information
We value our customers and will not share your information with any other organisations other than related companies and those third parties directly related to the delivery of the products you have purchased from the Refab website.
There may be some exceptional circumstances for disclosing your personal information, such as when there are grounds to believe that the disclosure is necessary to prevent a threat to life or health, or for law enforcement purposes. Refab is committed to complying with the Privacy Act.
Identification checks
Refab will randomly select transactions and request for proof of identification via email for the purpose of credit card fraud prevention.
Creating a secure online shopping environment is extremely important and random identification checks ensure we can take further steps to prevent credit card fraud.
There will be a three working-day period in which to submit a copy of your driver’s license or similar photo ID via email to Refab. Once we receive the requested documentation, your order will be processed and shipped as soon as possible. If we do not receive the requested information within three working days your order will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
Access and correction
Please contact our Privacy Officer if you would like to access or correct the personal information that we hold about you. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing any access or correction requests, to make sure that the personal information we hold is properly protected.
We will generally provide you with access to your personal information within 30 days, subject to some exceptions permitted by law. We may however charge a fee to cover our reasonable costs of locating the information and providing it to you.
If you ask us to correct personal information that we hold about you, or if we are satisfied that the personal information we hold is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, we will take reasonable steps to correct that information to ensure that, having regard to the purpose for which it is held, the information is accurate, up-to-date, complete, relevant and not misleading.
